Fatal Encinitas Motorcycle Accident Remains Under Investigation

Motorcycles are fun and adventurous vehicles that can be an exciting alternative to standard traveling. Feeling the open air surround you while you drive along the road, is a joy that many people describe as pricesless. Unfortunately, if a person does not drive carefully, accidents can occur and leave a motorcyclist in a dangerous scenario.

Last week in California, this exact tragedy took place and police are currently investigating the fatal motorcycle accident at this time.

According to police officials, the accident took place on the South Coast Highway 101 when three motorcyclists were traveling in line and the lead biker was struck by a Toyota Camry.

A 69-year-old man was driving the Camry when he stopped at a stop sign before entering an intersection and striking one of the motorcyclists. The 25-year-old Encinitas man operating the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency crews. The Camry’s driver along with a passenger on the motorcycle struck were both transported to the Scripps Memorial Hospital in order to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
