Four dead in northern California car accident

Four people, including two young children, lost their lives in a car accident outside of Placerville last Saturday.

The sky had already darkened over two-lane Highway 50 when the accident occurred. Initial reports indicated that a Toyota Prius struck a Toyota Sienna after crossing the center line.

Three of the Prius’s four passengers were killed in the wreck. They were aged 39, 38, and 8 years old. The vehicle’s only survivor, a 10-year-old girl, was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. There were five passengers in the other vehicle, one of which, a 4-year-old girl, was killed. The remaining passengers survived with seemingly minor injuries. However, there is still a possibility they will discover injuries months from now in relation to this accident. San Diego car accident lawyer

Investigators plan to examine the computers on board the vehicles to compile more information about what happened in this tragic accident. The data pulled from the computers can help indicate if any of the drivers in the accident were speeding or otherwise reckless.

This accident serves as a grisly reminder of the importance of safe driving habits. To help prevent these kinds of accidents, the California Department of Motor Vehicles offers important driving tips.

3 killed, 4 injured in Puddingstone Lake boating accident

This weekend, 3 people were killed and 4 were injured in a tragic boating accident at Puddingstone Lake in Los Angeles County.  The reservoir was closed on Sunday as county officials investigated the accident.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the accident occurred at around 4:20 p.m. on Saturday when 3 people riding a jet ski collided with a powerboat.  Officials are unsure of whether the boat struck the jet ski or the jet ski crashed into the boat.

Witnesses to the accident told officers that the boat appeared to hit the jet ski.  Investigators determined that the boat’s operator was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

The three women on the jet ski were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.  The 4 people who were injured in the accident were passengers on the boat.  All were treated for minor injuries and later released from the hospital.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims’ families and friends.
