4 injured in accident involving drunk driver
Yesterday morning, 4 people were injured in a car accident believed to have been caused by a drunk driver.
The accident occurred at about 10 a.m. on Interstate 8 when a vehicle traveling in the eastbound lanes of the highway rear-ended an SUV near Waring Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The SUV was sent spinning out of control and into the center divider. The vehicle flipped over the railing and rolled at least once. At least one of the vehicle’s passengers was trapped inside after the accident.
4 people in the SUV were taken to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. A spokesperson from the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department believed the injuries to be minor.
