Normal Heights motorcycle accident leaves 1 injured
A 31-year-old motorcyclist is currently in the hospital after he suffered numerous injuries as a result of colliding with a motor vehicle.
The man was operating his motorcycle in Normal Heights around 4:30 p.m. last Friday near Meade Avenue. According to police, the motorcyclist was traveling at accelerated speeds, and performing tricks on his bike. His motorcycle collided with a Honda sedan that was turning onto Meade from Wilson Avenue.
The impact of the crash caused the 31-year-old to become airborne. He suffered serious head injuries, and fractured his femur. He was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for his injuries. Police determined that alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
