CHP Reports: Semi-Truck Crash Claims One Life

Semi-truck drivers have an added responsibility to the safety standards that all drivers must adhere to because of the massive size of their vehicles. When a car or pickup truck is involved in an accident with a semi-truck, those riding in the smaller vehicle face a much higher risk of being injured in the collision.

The California Highway Patrol has recently reported on a semi-truck crash that occurred on Route 163 over the weekend that took the life of one person. According to crash responders, the accident occurred in Linda Vista when a PT Cruiser collided with a semi-truck for reasons that are still unknown.

The driver of the PT Cruiser was killed as a result of the impact. Police have reported that speed may have been a factor as well as the wet pavement at the time of crash. After the crash occurred, the lanes of traffic were shut down for nearly four hours as police officers diverted traffic to other areas.

Another semi-truck accident occurred earlier in the weekend and took the life of a San Diego man and injured three others. If you have been injured in a truck accident, you need knowledgeable representation on your side to help you fight for the justice you deserve.

Although financial compensation cannot make the tragic accident go away, it can help clear the added stress that comes with paying for medical bills. Contact the truck accident lawyers of Ritter & Associates today.
