Two bystanders killed in Chatsworth street racing accident

Twenty-six-year-old Eric Siguenza and an unidentified person were killed when a driver in an illegal street race lost control of his car and hit them, WHBL reported on February 26.

According to reports, the illegal street race took place at around 2:00 a.m. in Chatsworth, near Los Angeles. The driver who lost control of his gray Ford Mustang sports car is thought to be twenty-one-year-old Henry Gevorgyan. Police investigators are still searching for Gevorgyan, who immediately left the scene of the accident after the collision.

In addition to the two fatalities, another person was brought to a hospital with injuries. Sixty people total had gathered to watch the drag race, although all had scattered and dispersed by the time police arrived at the scene.

According to the Los Angeles Times, murder charges will be sought against Gevorgyan by the authorities.
