Honors
The San Diego personal injury attorneys of Ritter & Associates are dedicated to fighting for the rights of accident victims. In their many years of practice, the lawyers have earned several awards and been honored with membership in elite legal organizations. These include:

American Board of Trial Advocacy – ABOTA is one of the most prestigious legal organizations in the United States. It was initially formed by a group of trial lawyers to preserve and protect our sacred jury trial system. Since that time, the organization has evolved into an educational group that fosters the highest of both ethical and technical standards in its attorney members. In order to be board certified at the highest level as an “ABOTA advocate”, a trial lawyer must complete an exhaustive questionnaire tracing the lawyer’ s extensive jury trial experience over many decades. Standards for an “ABOTA Advocate” require a minimum of 50 civil jury verdicts and the highest level of ethical standards and zealous advocacy. After a thorough evaluation and time-consuming investigative process, Dwight Ritter was admitted at the highest level of experience and competence as an ” ABOTA Advocate”. Very few lawyers have obtained this level of competence and recognition.
National Board of Trial Lawyers – NBTA is recognized across the United States as the first and foremost legal organization for certifying to the public the competence and jury experience of plaintiff trial lawyers. Like ABOTA, NBTA requires extensive evaluation to guarantee a high level of jury trial experience to qualify as a board certified member. In addition, each member must successfully pass an exhaustive written examination, much like a state bar exam, in order to be recognized as a board certified member. In essence, NB TA certifies and guarantees to other lawyers, consumers, and the general public that a trial lawyer, such as Dwight Ritter, is recognized by the foremost trial lawyer organization in the United States as extensively tested and qualified.
Trial Lawyers College – Trial Lawyers College – Dwight Ritter has been honored as one of the elite
few trial lawyers invited to the annual 3 1/2 week Trial Lawyers College near Jackson, Wyoming. He was privileged to have trained under Gerry Spence’s supervision and graduated with the best trial lawyers in the nation. The Trial Lawyers College is committed to training a new breed of lawyer – warriors who have the courage to become a real person first, and
who then have the heart to fight for justice in their own passionate voice. Founder and Chairman of the Board, Gerry Spence, now in his 80s, still pledges to attend every course in hopes of sharing his experience with lawyers who have his commitment to representing real people.
