San Diego freeway accident kills 1, injures 4
A San Diego family was returning home after a beach visit when the vehicle they were in was hit from behind.
The car accident happened around 7 p.m. on the San Diego Freeway in Mission Hills. One woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and four others were taken to hospitals after sustaining severe injuries. Two of the injured are currently listed in critical condition.
The Los Angeles Fire Department had to remove someone from their vehicle after they were trapped. Police are investigating the accident, but at this time the cause of the collision is not known.
