Popular music producer, rapper, and actor Sean “Diddy” Combs was involved in a car accident in Los Angeles yesterday.
The music mogul’s Escalade crashed into Lexus RX outside of the Beverly Hills Hotel yesterday afternoon. Combs’ driver smashed into the other car as it allegedly turned left in front of the SUV. After the accident, the 42-year-old star was seen lying in the grass near where the accident occurred.
The hotel’s employees rushed out to assist those involved in the accident. It is unclear who was at fault and whether or not anyone sustained any injuries. However, certain injuries from car accidents can sometimes take days or even months before they become apparent.
The Bad Boy Records founder seemed to be unhurt, but issued a statement that he would seek medical attention.
Being hurt in an automobile accident can have serious consequences on your life. It can lead to financial hardship due to car repairs, medical costs, and lost wages. While such financial burdens may be a drop in the bucket for someone of Combs’ vast wealth, they can lead to severe difficulties in everyday people. A personal injury attorney can help those injured through no fault of their own seek compensation for the difficulties imposed on them from the reckless actions of others.
Last week, 2 people were injured in an accident that police are calling a “non-contact hit-and-run.” The accident occurred on Interstate 5 in Oceanside at around 2 p.m.
According to the California Highway Patrol, 2 people in an SUV were injured when their vehicle swerved off of I-5 and rolled into a drainage channel off of the highway. The SUV veered off of the highway in an attempt to avoid a collision with a car that tried to move into his lane.
The vehicle that caused the accident did not stop after the SUV crashed. As of Friday afternoon, police were still looking for the vehicle’s driver.
The SUV’s 37-year old driver was ejected from the vehicle and airlifted to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla with serious injuries. The vehicle’s front seat passenger, 33, was also taken to the hospital, but in an ambulance and with moderately serious injuries.
