Bicyclist suffers facial injuries when car attempts to pass her
Yesterday evening, a 23-year old bicyclist was injured when a car attempted to pass her.
The San Diego Police reported that the accident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. on College Drive, around Cresita Drive. The bicyclist was traveling southbound on College in the right-hand lane.
A sport utility vehicle traveling behind the bicyclist attempted to pass her by moving into the other lane. However, another vehicle was traveling in the lane beside the bicyclist and there was not enough room for the SUV to pass. The bicyclist was clipped by the SUV and sent flying into the curb.
The woman suffered serious facial injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
